Personal Philosophy

Years of teaching at Queen’s University and the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese have taught me what it takes to be an effective teacher and how to best motivate and inspire students. Various workshops in areas such as active learning as well as learning and memory have also prepared me to approach teaching in a way that will best suit my students and their individual needs. My goal is to teach in a way that caters to students with varied educational backgrounds and with different learning styles. I aim to present learning material clearly and in an interactive fashion that allows students to think critically and develop their own interests in any subject matter.
